Chester Springs Studio, in Historic Yellow Springs, is commemorating a milestone 40th anniversary with the exhibition Celebrating Clay from September 23 through October 7, 2018. The exhibition enriches the Studio’s current clay and wood-firing program while simultaneously honoring our commitment to the field of ceramics and clay artists.

Celebrating Clay features functional and sculptural work by thirty-three recognized ceramic artists from across the Delaware Valley.

A festive artists’ reception with music by the West Chester University Steel Drum Ensemble and refreshments opens the exhibition on Sunday, September 23, 2-5pm.

Ceramics Demonstrations, throwing on the wheel and firing the wood-kiln, are planned for October 6, 2-4pm.

Celebrating Clay’s exhibition, artists’ reception, and ceramics demonstrations are open and free to the public.
