FROM THE DIRECTOR’S DESK- September 2016

Hi Everyone,

After the hot summer we had this year, we at HYS are really looking forward to September and the Fall.  I can’t believe that Labor Day is here and school has already started.   Our fall art classes are already online and will start September 19th.  And even if you can’t sign up for a class, there are a number of fall workshops that will satisfy your creative soul, so please check out our website for details.

We will have our Annual Meeting on Sunday October 2nd so please mark your calendars and come Sunday afternoon to hear all about what has been accomplished this past year and what are our plans moving forward.  After the meeting please stay to enjoy some food and drink and mingle with friends and neighbors.

We are also excited about our Fall Fine Arts and Craft show happening November 11th, 12th and 13th. It will be twice as big this year with a wider variety of exceptional crafts and art.

We will continue to keep you posted about all that is happening here.  The village is looking great thanks to all of the garden club volunteers who are keeping the gardens beautiful; our beautiful rebuilt stone walls made possible through a generous donation and all of the efforts of the HYS Volunteers, Staff and Board.

See you in the village,
Eileen
Can You Help Us?
This fall, our Wood Kiln will be using a lot of wood and we are in need of a gas-powered log splitter to split the wood logs we’ve collected over the summer. If you have one in good working order, please consider donating it to HYS. It is a 100% tax deductible donation.
