Three Ways to Make

Historic Yellow Springs offers three types of scholarships each term to make our programs accessible to all, including those in need, those looking to expand their creative voice, and veterans or their immediate family members, with a commitment to non-discrimination and inclusivity for participants of all races, colors, religions, genders, gender expressions, ages, national origins, disabilities, marital statuses, or sexual orientations.

Needs Based Scholarships

The financial need-based scholarship waives 90% of the class/workshop tuition for participants who wish to participate in creative based community experiences. Awards are based on demonstrated financial need. Students who receive a financial need-based scholarship are still responsible for any applicable material/supply fees. If awarded, students will be contacted directly by the Programs Department and provided with the necessary one time code to apply during checkout to receive the corresponding discount.

Veterans or Their Immediate Family-Based Scholarships

The Veteran based scholarship is a way for us to thank those who have served our country and waives 75% of the class/workshop tuition for those who wish to participate in creative based community experiences. For family members, the scholarship can only apply to immediate family including parents, spouses, and children. Awards are based on demonstrated proof of service in one of the six branches of the US military. Those who receive a veteran scholarship are still responsible for any applicable material/supply fees. If awarded, participants will be contacted directly by the Programs Department and provided with the necessary one time code to apply during checkout to receive the corresponding discount.

Merit Based Scholarships

The merit based scholarship waives 50% of the class/workshop tuition for students who wish to further their creative studies and hone their artistic skills. Awards are based on demonstrated artistic experience. Students who receive a merit-based scholarship are still responsible for any applicable material/supply fees. If awarded, students will be contacted directly by the Programs Department and provided with the necessary one time code to apply during checkout to receive the corresponding discount.
