Tours and Demonstrations

Workshops

Ceramics Hand Building – $60 per participant / 4-9 individuals $55 per participant / 10-24 individuals
Learn basic hand building techniques like pinching and sculpting, rolling coils, or building with slabs to create a personal and functional ceramic object, such as a bowl, a cup, a box, etc. Project and technique options can be discussed upon booking. When class is done, choose a glaze option and your instructor will complete your project for you. No experience is necessary. You will be contacted by Historic Yellow Springs for pick up; projects are usually available in 3-4 weeks. *Wear clothes you don’t mind getting dirty!Ceramics Raku – $50 per participant / 4-9 individuals

Using the specific technique of linoleum relief plate printing, students select from a series of provided designs and create three printed greeting cards. No experience is necessary. Use actual Lego blocks to click, snap, and build a unique geometry inspired design, then roll ink over the shapes to create a one-of-a-kind design. No experience is necessary. Projects are usually ready the same day. *Wear clothes you don’t mind getting dirty!
Team Building
Groups are encouraged to propose a project tailored for their team or workplace.
Ceramics
$35 per participant / up to 17 individuals

• Mounted Wall Mural – Team members will create a multi-sectioned ceramic image
• Musical Mosaics – Team members rotate through multiple 5×5” ceramic tiles, adding to the design of the team member before themPrintmaking

• Relief Patchwork Print- Team members generate their own 3 x 3 relief print tiles, that are arranged and printed on archival paper as a finished composition.
• Lego Printing- Click, snap, and build the team into a collective series of 3 x 3 tiles, that are arranged and printed on archival paper as a finished composition.
Guidelines
• Group visits to Historic Yellow Springs must be reserved at least two weeks in advance, unless otherwise authorized by Historic Yellow Springs Programs Department.
• Please provide information regarding any special needs or individual concerns prior to your visit. Historic Yellow Springs’ campus has limited handicapped accessibility.
• To ensure safety in classrooms, many workshops have dress codes — be sure to check workshop descriptions carefully.
Payment Information
If your event cost is over $750.00 you will be charged a deposit of 20 percent of the total event cost. This deposit will be refunded due to cancellations made on or before the 7 days prior to the event date. If the event is canceled after the 7 days, the customer agrees to forfeit the 20 percent deposit.
Payment is required fourteen days in advance, unless an exception is authorized by Historic Yellow Springs at the time of your reservation.
Payment must cover the full number of participants in your group. If your group size changes after your reservation is confirmed, adjustments can only be made two weeks prior to the trip date. You will be billed for the total number confirmed with your reservation and will not be reimbursed for any attendees that are not present for your workshop and billed additionally if attendance is above number confirmed with your reservation.
Historic Yellow Springs accepts: checks made payable to Historic Yellow Springs; cash, credit cards (Mastercard, Visa, Discover, American Express). Please make arrangements for payment with the Program Manager. All payments must be paid in full.

Free parking is provided in Historic Yellow Springs’ parking lot at 1709 Art School Rd, Chester Springs, PA 19425
