Youth Birthday Party

Celebrate your child’s birthday with a creative, hands-on art experience at Historic Yellow Springs! Youth birthday parties are guided studio sessions led by professional teaching artists and are ideal for curious, creative kids. 

Birthday parties are scheduled in 2-hour time slots and include: 

  • One guided art-making activity 
  • Time for cake and celebration 
  • Use of studio materials and tools

Available Activities (ages vary by activity): 

LEGO® Printmaking Birthday Cards – $200 for up to 5 participants $40 per additional participant

Click, snap, and build with LEGO® bricks to create an individual printmaking design, printed as a one-of-a-kind birthday card. 

Hand Building Clay – $300 for up to 5 participants $60 per additional participant

Party goers will have the opportunity to build and decorate their very own hand build ceramic mug, luminary, or planter. Finished pieces will be fired after the event and available for later pickup. 

Shrinky Dink Jewelry – $200 for up to 5 participants $40 per additional participant

Design and color your own Shrinky Dink charms, then watch them shrink in the oven and turn into wearable jewelry to take home. 

Seasonal Ornament – $300 for up to 5 participants $60 per additional participant

Make a hand-crafted ornament that celebrates the current season or holiday—perfect to hang at home or give as a gift. 

Adult Birthday Parties & Private Creative Celebrations

Celebrate your birthday or special occasion with a creative, hands-on art experience at Historic Yellow Springs. Adult parties are guided studio sessions led by professional teaching artists and are perfect for friends, families, and groups looking for a unique and memorable way to celebrate. No prior art experience is necessary.

Adult parties are scheduled in 2-hour time slots and include:

  • One guided art-making activity
  • Time to celebrate and socialize
  • Use of studio materials and tools

Guests are welcome to bring their own food and beverages (BYOB). All items must be brought in and taken out by the party.

Wheel Throwing Experience – $375 for up to 5 participants $75 per additional participant

Try your hand at the potter’s wheel during a guided wheel-throwing session. Guests will learn the basics of centering and forming clay while creating a small vessel. Finished pieces will be fired after the event and available for later pickup.

LEGO Printmaking – $200 for up to 5 participants $40 per additional participant
Build custom designs using LEGO bricks to create a bold, graphic print. Each guest will produce an individual print to take home.
