2026 HYS Members’ Market

Exhibition Dates: July 7 – August 18, 2026
(Dates open to the public TBD)

The HYS Members’ Market is a special summer exhibition featuring work by current Historic Yellow Springs members. This market-style show highlights original, for-sale artwork and offers members the opportunity to share their work with visitors while supporting HYS through volunteer engagement.

The HYS Members’ Market will replace the HYS Members’ Show.

Participation Requirements

To be eligible, artists must meet all of the following requirements:

  • Be a current HYS Member at the time of application and throughout the exhibition
  • Submit only artwork that is for sale
  • Volunteer for at least one shift during 2026 Members’ Market gallery hours

Artist Timeline

  • Applications released: March 23, 2026 (via the HYS website)
  • Registration deadline: May 29, 2026
  • Inventory forms emailed: June 2, 2026
  • Inventory deadline: June 18, 2026
  • Artwork drop-off: June 23, 2026 | 10:00 am – 3:30 pm
  • Artwork pick-up: September 1, 2026 | 10:00 am – 3:30 pm

Please note: late submissions or drop-offs cannot be accommodated.

Artwork Requirements

2-D Artwork

Each HYS Member may submit up to 4 pieces total:

  • Up to 2 primary pieces: Maximum size 24” x 30”, including frame
  • Up to 2 miniature pieces: Maximum size 11” x 14”, including frame

Additional guidelines:

  • No portfolio pieces or prints
  • All work must be original
  • All pieces must be wired for hanging; sawtooth hangers are not permitted

3-D Artwork

Each HYS Member may submit up to 10 pieces total:

  • All work must be smaller than 24” x 24” x 24”
  • All work must weigh less than 25 lbs

Display details:

  • 5 pieces will be displayed at the start of the exhibition
  • The remaining 5 pieces will be held as additional inventory to replenish the display as work sells

Additional Information

Detailed instructions regarding labeling, pricing, sales procedures, and volunteer scheduling will be provided to participating artists closer to the exhibition date.

HYS receives a 40% commission on each piece sold. Artists are required to provide their own insurance for artwork.
