Did you know that Steve McQueen once called our village home during the filming of The Blob?
Drawing inspiration from this intriguing piece of local history, the perfect hill and the right time of year, we are thrilled to present the inaugural Yellow Springs Great Pumpkin Classic! A fast and frightening race featuring decorated pumpkins on wheels racing down the hill in front of the Revolutionary War Hospital ruins!
Trophies will be given to the fastest, funniest, scariest and most creative pumpkin racers.
This friendly competition is limited to just 36 racers, so who will take home the title of this year’s champion? Whether you’re flying solo or teaming up with friends and family, unleash your creativity and compete for glory! Don’t miss your chance to be part of this exciting event—register now to participate!

• The race is open to single participants, families and teams. All ages. One pumpkin racer per registration
•There is no fee to enter but you must supply your own pumpkin.
• Pumpkins must weigh 12 lbs. or less, with a maximum width of 12 inches.
• Feel free to decorate your pumpkin in any way you like, as long as it’s suitable for a community event.
