Chico Huff – With over four decades of experience, Chico Huff brings depth and versatility to the electric bass. Largely self-taught, he sharpened his skills early on—landing his first paid gig at 14 on Martha’s Vineyard—by keeping pace with older, seasoned musicians. His fluid, expressive playing has supported an eclectic list of collaborators, including James Taylor, Carly Simon, Richard Elliott, Terence Blanchard, Dr. John, Solas, Seamus Egan, and Jefferson Airplane. From the U.S. to Europe, Japan, and Morocco, Chico’s journey remains rooted in collaboration and the pure joy of making music.
Chris Farr – Renowned for his artistry on the saxophone, Chris Farr bridges the worlds of performance and education. His genre-spanning credits include Blood, Sweat & Tears, Sting, Jill Scott, The Roots, John Legend, Maynard Ferguson, Randy Brecker, Rihanna, and Eminem. With a reputation for both technical mastery and heartfelt expression, Chris continues to inspire students and audiences alike.
Calli Graver – Calli Graver moves effortlessly between jazz, classical, and pop, creating a sound that’s dynamic and deeply expressive. Raised in Lancaster, PA and holding degrees in vocal performance and jazz studies from the University of the Arts, she has shared the stage with icons like Josh Groban, Aretha Franklin, Andrea Bocelli, and Michael Bublé. Collaborations with orchestras and jazz greats such as Christian McBride and Peter Nero reflect her versatility. Her albums Cheer! and The Sun’s In My Eyes showcase a soulful, sophisticated sound, while her work as an educator and chorister in the Oscar-nominated film Maestro highlights her artistic breadth.
E. Shawn Qaissaunee – Crafting soundscapes with guitar, bass, piano, and traditional Afghan instruments like the rubab and dutar, E. Shawn Qaissaunee creates music that transcends genre and borders. A Berklee College of Music graduate, his performances with David Bromberg, Benny Golson, and Xiang Gao—as well as opening sets for McCoy Tyner and Al Green—have earned him acclaim. His presence spans major U.S. jazz festivals and global stages including Ireland’s Clifden Arts Week and the Bermuda Music Festival. With a rare blend of technical fluency and emotional nuance, Shawn invites audiences into every note he plays.
Whether you’re a longtime fan or new to jazz, this year’s Jazz at the Springs promises an unforgettable experience. Come enjoy world-class music in a one-of-a-kind historic setting!
