Yellow Springs Art Show – Call for Artists
THE DEADLINE FOR APPLICATIONS IS FRIDAY, AUGUST 16, 2024.
If you have juried before, you must wait two years after last jury to submit an application.
We are now accepting jury applications for the 2025 Yellow Springs Art Show. If you have not been to the show before, we recommend that you come and check it out, April 27–May 12, 2024. This is a very large show featuring over 4,000 pieces from 200+ artists.
There are many aspects that are carefully considered during the jury process and how your work would fit into the show. It is important to keep a balance of mediums and price ranges for a successful show. Quality of finishing/framing is also very important.
Current mediums accepted to jury:
- oil
- acrylic
- watercolor, gouache or watermedia
- encaustic
- alcohol ink
- pastel
- mixed media
- graphite, charcoal, pen and ink
- etching, printmaking
- ceramics
- glass
- wood
- sculpture
We do not accept photography or digital media.
If you do not see your medium listed, please send one image and a brief description of your work via email Jess Presley, for consideration before filling out the application.
If you would like to jury for more than one medium please complete an application and submit a payment of $35 per medium.
Jury Information
Please note that we jury in person, we do not accept images or slides.
An email containing a link to sign up for your jury time slot and a link to submit information about the pieces you are bringing to be juried will be sent out on Friday, August 30, 2024.

What to Bring to Jury
2-D Artists
Please bring 4 primary and 4 miniature original works to be juried. All jury submissions must be the same medium. Artists may jury more than one medium, but must complete an application and submit a payment of $35 for each medium.
- Primary pieces can be any size, but are typically no larger than 48”.
- Miniature pieces are limited to 11” x 14” (outer frame dimensions) or smaller.
- All work must be framed; framing must be professional in appearance with clean mats, and a wire for hanging.
- Gallery wrapped canvas with painted/finished sides will be accepted.
- The artwork submitted for jury needs to be new work created within the last year.
- If selected, the work brought to jury is not required to be in the 2025 show.
3-D Artists
Please bring 4 original pieces.
- Can be any size, but are typically no larger than 48” and weigh less than 50 lbs
- If a functional piece, please note if it is not food safe on the form.
- The artwork submitted for jury needs to be new work created within the last year.
- If selected, the work brought to jury is not required to be in the 2025 show.
Artists must sign up for a time slot and complete a digital inventory form to jury. An email will be sent out on Friday, August 30, 2024 with the link to sign up for a time slot and a link to submit your inventory.
About the Jury Process
The whole process is very easy, and only takes 10 minutes! The Art Show Committee will photograph your work, take notes and have a brief discussion. You will not be in the room during the jury. After both days of the jury are complete, the committee will meet again to discuss the works further and make a decision. Accepted artists will be notified within 3-4 weeks after the jury dates.
