On the Trail of Fall Colors

Researched and Written by Mark Ashton

The leaves are fading fast, but the trails on and surrounding Historic Yellow Springs offer a medley of color and light.

Our 140 acre property is built into the side of north rim of the Great Valley and is heavily forested.

On any given day, you may hear horns of the Kimberton Hunt and find yourself suddenly enveloped in a sea of happy hounds.

For a quiet and serene experience, there are the Binky Lee Trails on Pikeland Road, a branch of the Bryn Coed Preserve that starts at Art School and Miller Roads and the ponds and streams that made Anselma Mill a center of 18th and 19th century economic activity.

Today, they are all serene places to walk and observe the beauty of this region.

Below is the Miller Road Trail to Bryn Coed.
