Spring has arrived at Historic Yellow Springs, bringing new beginnings and vibrant changes to the village. Garden clubs are preparing their plots, and the Philadelphia Unit Herb Society will revitalize the 18th Century Medicinal Herb Garden. The community extends its gratitude to all volunteers helping the village bloom.
This year marks the 50th anniversary of the Yellow Springs Art Show, running from April 29 to May 14, featuring works from 227 artists across 12 galleries. Special events include the Opening Party on April 28, a Fashion Show on May 4, and a Mother’s Day “Art Around the Village” on May 14, with live demonstrations, music, and history walks.
The village also welcomes Tim Compton as the new Executive Director, who aims to expand art class offerings and collaborations with regional nonprofits. His appointment marks a new chapter for Historic Yellow Springs, blending its rich history with a vision for the future.
Lastly, The Washington at Historic Yellow Springs has been recognized by The Knot with the Best of Weddings award for the fifth consecutive year, highlighting the venue’s excellence in hosting unforgettable celebrations.
